Really. Trust me. There will not be rationing, nor Death, er, Counseling Panels

Kathleen Sebelius is desperately, furiously using a media full volume fire hose in an attempt to tamp down the blaze ignited by the report of the 'experts' of the US Preventative Service Task Force [nice title, that one] wherein, against all previously promoted and accepted advice and counsel, it is recommended that women between the ages of 40-49 do not need annual mammograms. [Cost Control, you see.]
[...and they may have provided a differently meant 'preventative servicing' to Obamacare, as well]

Ms Sebelius would likely further like to have at her disposal a water cannon with which to blow these Panel Monkeys out of their perches.

The timing of this reportage[sic] is exquisite, and begs at least a few questions. Consider:

- Could Sebelius be any more embarrassed and in a tougher spot at a more significant time?
Don't think so.
  • The Panel monkeys release this greased pig only moments before the Senate monkeys [they're everywhere, these monkeys] offer their 20-pounds-per-copy hog of a Health Care bill for consideration.
- Is there any more glaring example of an Executive out of touch with little influence on his/her organization?
Don't think so.
  • Is it possible that these appointed monkeys were unaware of any consequences related to the release of their report?
    • If yes,  My. My. Certainly describes a panel of similarly disposed bureacrats that I would love to have making health care decisions for me.
    • If not, My. My. Certainly describes a panel of similarly disposed, backstabbing bureacrats that I would love to have making health care decisions for me.
- Is there any chance that any Corporate Executive trapped in similar circumstance would be working the day after the occurence?
Don't think so.

- Is it more likely that George Bush was so prescient, or so lucky, to have appointed the right monkeys to this panel?
I'm betting on lucky.

This 'Task Force' episode provides a pre-release trailer for the in-production epic, 'Obamacare the Bountiful', spinning off a new maxim for the political monkeys to keep in mind:
You can't lie, hide, omit, speechify, blusterize, hand puppet your way into legislation this thick. There are too many monkeys with their hands in the banana pudding, able to spoil the mix in ways, and from directions, that you never considered.
